Tarsh is the owner operator of a studio on a rural lifestyle block while also taking classes at a local hall, building a great community in Whangarei. After retraining 5 years ago and becoming a qualified trainer in 2015, Tarsh’s thirst for learning and teaching others to love and move their body has only grown. Claiming she was never natural at movement, it wasn’t until she joined a mums and bubs class that she found her love for exercise and because of this, her passion is getting woman started on their journey and finding their fun in movement. As a massage therapist for the past 15 years, Tarsh loves to look at and treat the body as a whole. If you feel better and the body moves better it makes exercise more enjoyable. With 3 kids aged between 5 – 10 whom she supports with their chosen sports, she very much kept on her toes! Being a PT Council Ambassador is important to Tarsh because the reality is, unfortunately people are moving less and health needs to become more of a priority. Working together with other trainers and supporting each other will reach more people and have a healthier Country.

Tash’s journey started at Les Mills Dunedin in 2014 where she learnt so much about herself and quickly found her niche.

In 2015 she ran her first free, women-only bootcamp as a way to give back to the community. The bootcamp was a huge success and by 2016, Tash was running four bootcamps, with around 60 members as well as 40+ PT clients per week – however flet limited by space/ time and facilities. That’s when she decided to go out on her own.

In 2017 she opened my own women’s group fitness studio – #TeamTashTraining studio – with two specific goals: to have a genuine impact on as many women as possible and to bring back the personal in group fitness settings. Tash quickly became known and respected for her exceptional service, smart and creative programming, and genuine care for all of the #teamtash members. She is dedicated to encouraging women to be their best in an environment that is unique, diverse, and judgment-free.

Fast forward to today – She has learnt so much over the years and now has a team of outstanding coaches by her side.

Ehara tāku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini.

“My strength is not as an individual, but as a collective.”

Tash truly believes this and as a PT ambassador believes that together we can achieve so much. She believes we should be supporting each other and learning from each other to be the best we can for our clients, – so we can all make a positive lasting impact. Tash looks forward to helping bring us together as a collective.

When Andrew was 16 his parents gave him a gym membership and help from a personal trainer as a birthday present to help with his rugby. At that stage he didn’t know It would come to be one of the most transformative experiences for his professional career.

His trainer was everything that a good trainer could be and as he grew in fitness and health, he also developed a real passion for the process of growth, challenge, encouragement and community; elements that stem from having a trainer.

Fast forward to 2009 Andrew began his career in the Health and Fitness industry having studied a qualification in Personal Training, and becoming accredited in strength and conditioning. He has really enjoyed the lifestyle afforded to him by being a personal trainer, from working personally chosen hours and operating his own business, to taking on board challenges and forming good working relationships with clients.

It hasn’t been a walk in the park. Anyone running their own business will attest to the stresses of managing multiple administrative components – marketing, taxes, time management, professional development, not to mention communication with 50+ individuals with different levels of requirements and deadlines. Andrew responded enthusiastically to this challenge knowing that it would help myself and others across time.

Fast forward again 10 years to present day, having completed Post Graduate level studies in Accounting, Organisational Development, and Strategic Management. The call of Personal training is still as strong as ever and has integrated his qualifications into a highly effective enterprise of managing a client base, and helping Fitness Professionals get a sense of control and sustainability over their business.

Andrew is dedicated to the PTC in helping Personal Trainers learn, grow and find support in the network that we can create as Fitness Professionals, and he hopes that together with this growth we can contribute fitness and wellness and a sense of community to our surroundings.

KC Fit – NZ Exercise Awards Finalist 2019/2020/2021

Women’s Health Pelvic Floor Coach & Educator

Flashback a few years ago, and ‘KC Fit’ was Kirstyn as a stay at home mum with her two kids, part time studying while running a couple of bootcamp sessions a week for a few friends in her mum’s backyard finding her style.

After studying group fitness, with her son toddling around her feet, Kirstyn’s hobby began to blossom. Going from running sessions for a friend, started running regular sessions – just for mums, and she was hooked! One year later, she had her 3rd baby… KC Fit was born!

8 years later and Kirstyn’s passion has amazingly become a family business, her time job and her husband leaving his job to work alongside her in the business end. KC Fit has grown to: group exercise classes, an online fitness membership for Mums, restorative online programs for mums, and educating health and fitness professionals on how to approach exercise for the mum body.

Over the past 2 years, Kirstyn has taken this education and training to the New Zealand Defence Force for their wahine returning to exercise and deployment after having babies. Kirstyn is passionate about working with mums to help give them back control and confidence.

Kirstyn is very excited about becoming an Ambassador for Auckland PT Council to continue to give back to an industry that can feel isolated. She aims to grow awareness of the amazing support and connection that is available. Drawing in and connecting likeminded people, showing the possibility of collaboration making each trainer stronger – together for better health of each kiwi. Afterall, we are all about the people.

Hop on to the PTCouncil Auckland Hub and welcome Kirstyn as one of the newest Ambassadors on the New Zealand Council.

After having her first daughter, Keeley completed her personal training studies in 2018.  Her journey into personal training was inspired by wanting to help others feel confident in themselves, having been involved in multiple sports throughout her life and her love for fitness.

In 2020, Keeley started her mobile personal training business – Pushplay Fitness – with the intent on helping people step outside their comfort zones starting their fitness journey from the comfort of their home.

As an Auckland ambassador for the New Zealand Personal Trainers Council, Keeley  is excited, and ready, to help other personal trainers make connections, provide support, and is always up for a coffee & a chat when needed.

Fiona has been a registered Personal Trainer for the last 12 years at Les Mills CHC and then recently made the move to Les Mills in Lambton Quay in Wellington.

Leaving her Travel career and office job behind to pursue her love and passion for exercise after discovering the gym at 40!

What she found there was a renewed vigour for life, hope, a sense of community , a sense of pride in achieving things that she didn’t think were possible, and strength both physically and mentally.

She has  then transferred what she’s learnt into a career in Personal Training to help others achieve the same things. In other words, “Paying it Forward”.

Fiona strives to help people find achievement in their goals, build strength and have confidence in their bodies whatever size or shape. She wants to teach her clients that gym work/exercise is not just about weights, but about the journey and that each movement is to enhance their lives outside the gym in their everyday lives. Fun and communication are a must all along the way.

As a mother and an older woman, Fiona has two special passions: To work with pregnant and post pregnancy clients, helping them on the journey during/post birth, as well as helping woman thrive – rather than survive – through menopause!

She is also specialsing in women specific training, designed to the female physiology.

Fiona is excited to be an Ambassador with the PT council, to meet other PTs and people within the Health and Wellness to help with growth and development of these areas.
